DRUMMING CLASS FOR ADULTS

In our class we review the basics of drumming, explore rhythms, improvise, and play some African rhythms. Classes are $10 and we have djembes and dunduns for you to use. Beginners are welcome and you can play together no matter how little or how much musical experience you have had. A drum circle is a fun way to experience community. Each person contributes to and is an important part of the whole circle.                        We meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays from 4 to 5 pm at Adawehi Wellness Center.

DRUMMING FOR CHILDREN

Drumming is an integral part of music lessons for young children. We explore rhythms and move to these rhythms. The music, rhymes and songs support the development of children’s language skills. Drumming during piano lessons helps children develop their rhythmic skills and learn to read music.

DRUMMING CLASS FOR TEENS

Drum circle games are used to review basic techniques, and more complex rhythms are introduced. Teens learn to combine rhythms, improvise, and work together as a group.

FAMILY DRUMMING

This is a fun class where adults and children can explore rhythms and improvise together. The whole family can make music together. We include several sizes of drums, including the big drums, djembes and dunduns. Drumming is a great way to expand listening skills, communication, and creativity as a family.
